get to know me
Hi, I’m Clara. I’m the person behind the camera, usually smiling, getting to know everyone and occasionally trying not to cry during the speeches.
I grew up in Carregal do Sal, a small town near Viseu that I’m very proud to call home (even if it's too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. In 2024 I moved and since then I split my time between there and Lisbon.
My background is in cinema. I studied Sound and Image and made my first short films with stories very close to my heart. That experience changed the way I see things: I notice the atmosphere in a room, the movement between moments and the little details that make a scene feel alive. It’s an instinct I bring to photography too: I’m always looking for the feeling behind what’s happening.
A FEW MORE THINGS ABOUT ME
I’m very close to my family, and Pedro, my partner, is one of the most important people in my life. I put a photo of us here because he’s a big part of my life and usually the first person to hear all about the people I’ve met at a wedding.
I love the moments that unfold while nobody is thinking about the camera. The nervous laugh before a ceremony. A hand reaching for another. Someone on the dance floor who has completely forgotten I’m there. Those are often the things you’ll want to remember most.
If we’re spending your wedding day together, I’ll probably get to know your family, laugh with your friends and end the night feeling like I’ve been part of it. That’s how I like to work: close enough to feel the day with you, while giving every moment room to happen.
fun facts
My hair changes often enough that you might not recognise me from my last photo (oops!). I’ve loved the colour blue and the moon since I was little, and you’ll spot both in my branding. And a fun fact you probably wouldn’t guess: I used to play a lot of CS:GO (and still love games).
I studied arts before cinema, and I still love painting, embroidery and getting lost in museums. I also love concerts and festivals (going to RFM Somnii every year has become a tradition and yes, this is my group of friends and we always have matching outfits).
